I pazienti che stringono molto i denti (bruxismo) possono arrivare a consumare il dente fino alla camera del nervo rendendoli così molto sensibili.

4. Ragioni restaurative

Quando il dente non può essere recuperato in altre maniere, viene posizionato un perno all’interno della radice e una corona (capsula) successivamente. In questi casi la devitalizzazione è elettiva, cioè in funzione del restauro protesico.
